10 Iconic Destinations in Africa – Do you know them all?

Andrew Beck Andrew 15 Comments

We’re always looking for new and exciting destinations to share with our guests and whilst i was looking through some maps of Africa last night I felt inspired by the incredible and iconic destinations that I have been privileged to visit over the last 5 years.

My challenge to you is two-fold.

  1. Can you identify in which region each of these ten images were taken?
  2. I’d love for you to suggest new and exciting destinations that you would like to visit!

Leave a comment at the bottom of the post with your answers!

Some are more obvious than others but I wanted to make it a bit more challenging.

Good luck and feel free to copy this list of numbers to help make commenting that much easier!

    Jambo Andrew!

    Fabulous post, love the idea!

Here’s my answers (some of them are quite tough to be entirely honest):

    1. Lake Natron

    2. Ngorongoro Crater

    3. Lake Manyara (Lerai Forest)

    4. You must be kidding me? 🙂 I’ll say South Luangwa as a wild guess (just because you can do night drives in the area).

    5. Could also be South Luangwa, but I’ll go for Kruger.

    6. As a “cliché” it would be in Lake Manyara yet again (the region is known for its tree-climbing lions). But I’ve seen lions up in trees in other areas, such as Mikumi (also in Tanzania). To stay safe I’ll stick with Manyara.

    7. Madikwe?

    8. Another one of your “eeny, meeny, miny, moe” pics! 😉 Lake Kariba is my answer, though it could also be Chobe.

    9. Okavango Delta (Moremi?).

    10. Probably Etosha. Looks like the picture was taken from a hide. I’ll therefore stick with this answer. Though to be a little more “exotic” I could’ve said Hwange National Park (The Hide?)!

I enjoyed this, keep them coming!

PS: Next time however, make sure they’re A LOT more challenging, coz this was way “too easy”! 🙂 😉 Cheers!
