Tomorrow morning I am heading off to Kenya as I host a joint trade educational with Wild Eye East Africa, South African Airways and Serena Hotels. All together we will be visiting 4 magnificent destinations over 6 days as we share the Magic of Kenya with South African agents.
Now this trip may not be a dedicated photographic safari but you can be sure that I am very excited to get back to “the bush” and explore more of Kenya. So far my Kenyan adventures have allowed me to explore Amboseli National Park and the Masai Mara, but this time I will be expanding my horizons and visiting Mount Kenya National Park, Ol-Pajeeta Conservancy and the Soysambu Wildlife Conservancy before returning to the Masai Mara for a couple of nights.
From a photographic point of view, I am excited to check out the underground hide at Serena Mountain Lodge and also to see how the recent rains that have fallen in the Masai mara have changed the landscape. I am also hoping to pop into the sites that we use for our upcoming migration safaris to show you all what we mean when we say that the Wild Eye Camp is on the banks of the Mara River. I hope to provide regular updates and images (on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter) along the way but here is a taste of what our group will be experiencing over 6 days…

For anyone that has not yet experienced the magic of Kenya, you are missing out. It is a completely different feeling to being in ANY of the South African Reserves. Knowing that there are no fences, no boundaries, and no limits to the movement of wildlife. This really is the RAW Africa that one reads about in the journals of the earlier explorers and big game hunters.
