Svalbard, Arctic Circle
Canon 1D4, 600mm, 1/1250, f/11, ISO 800
During our 2013 Svalbard photo trip I photographed a lot of Arctic Terns but this is definitely one of my favourites.
We had just finished photographing a small group of walruses when our focus shifted to a few Terns that were doing fly-bys over the beach. This was the first shot I took in a sequence of 5 images.
My exposure was still off as I had is set for the walruses but once I fixed it in Lightroom I was very happy with the result.
These birds live in a white world and this image, which was shot against a bright overcast sky, tells me that story.
Do you want to join me in Svalbard in 2014?
Until next time.
