Marakele National Park, South Africa

For some reason the rock dassies at Lenong Viewpoint in Marakele National Park are not nearly as relaxed as those found at most other tourist viewpoints in South Africa.

When I got out of my car to take a photo of them sunbathing, they all scattered to hide behind the rocks. I knew, however, that one or two of them would become curious and less than a minute later this little guy stuck its head out for a peek…and I was ready for it!

Happy shooting.
