Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa
After photographing a coalition of 4 male cheetah on a kill we watched them move to the shade where they started cleaning each other.
The light was already harsh and the shadows were getting darker but the scene was too good not to keep on shooting.
By using the two backseats of the game viewer and including them in my viewfinder I was able to create the soft edges on the frame. The idea was to create a natural frame around the scene which would also increase the feeling of being part of a special moment – almost like you were sneaking a peak from a hidden vantage point.
Don’t always listen to the rules and put your camera away when the golden light is gone.
Shoot the moments that catch your eyes.
Shoot for yourself.
Until next time!
