On a recent photographic safari to Madikwe we spent an overcast morning with a large clan of hyena.
We spent the entire morning watching and photographing these often misunderstood animals. They were really hanging around, not doing anything which gave us the opportunity to create some plain-and-simple hyena images.
Instead of trying to push the boundaries or creating something out of the ordinary it was great to stick to the basics.
Here are five hyena images from our morning in Madikwe.
1/500, f/2.8, ISO 1000
1/160, f/4.5, ISO 1000
1/60, f7.1, ISO 1000
1/500, f2/8, ISO 1000
1/8, f/18, ISO 1000
When you are next out in the field don’t only get caught up in trying to break new ground. It’s quite nice to just stick to the basics and create good, solid wildlife images.
Until next time.
