Inspiration From A Guests Eye View

Have you ever been on a safari or are you planning one?

Struggling to decide on the following;

  • Where to go?
  • When to go?
  • Why should you go?

I know all travelers need inspiration, no matter who you are and how much you’ve traveled.

Fortunately, human history has always been full of intrepid adventurers jotting down their thoughts on the inspiration and meaning of travel.

If you’re out on the road right now or planning to travel in the future and need some inspiration, I hope this post inspires you.

In all honesty traveling IS a brutality.

It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of your home, friends/family. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things like the air around you, your time to sleep, your dreams and the sky.

Do not make the mistake of not doing what you want to do or experience what you wish to experience. If that mistake is made I promise you, twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.

One’s destination is never just a place but rather a new way of seeing things. Here are some images I took while on safari to try and show you how my guests are seeing things in a new way and changing the way they see the world!

To me the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is familiar therefore it is not taken for granted.

Travel is more than seeing the sights, the people or the wildlife.

It is a change that goes on, a deep and permanent change in the ideas of life and living that life.

There will always be moments on the road when you need to be reminded of where you’re going and why YOU chose to get there!

Take some time to thing about this then – make that change for YOU then – Dream-Explore-Discover!

    An inspirational article Michael, and we can’t wait to do another Photo Safari trip with Wild Eye and you of course. We expected great guiding, photography training, but not the amount of fun and friendship that developed in just a few days. Cheers !
