What Lightroom Features Would You Like To See?

Lightroom is awesome!

Over the last few versions Adobe has made some amazing changes and upgrades to what is an amazing product and I am sure this will continue as the program continues to evolve.

In this blog post I shared my basic wildlife photography workflow and it got me thinking.

This the current layout of the panels in the Lightroom’s Develop module.

How cool would it be if Adobe could add a function where you can custom the order of these sliders?

Think about it, you could shuffle the panels around to suit your workflow and you could then simply work from top to bottom.

Mine would look something like this.

I could then apply lens correction, basic adjustments and sharpening simply by working from top to bottom.

The other sliders, which you might not use that often, could sit below and you can either hide them or access when you need to.

What other features would you like to see in future versions of Lightroom?

Until next time.

    1. Panel ordering (all panels) would be great.
    2. I also like Mark’s idea.
    3. I would like to see the grid view regitered to the top of the frame. As it is now scrolling produces clipping at top and bottom.
    4. A long time ago, [Ctrl]{k] got you to keyword entry from any place. Now it only works in the Library.
    5. Content-aware brush (not holding by breath for this one).
