In today’s video a few thoughts on keeping your wildlife photography simple, details on how the 2012 Wild Eye Nature Photography Competition is judged and I ask –  what is the best way to learn online?

As always I look forward to hearing from you.

Until next time.

Thanks for the morning dose 🙂 interesting topic about how you learn online. What works well for me is asking people to crit. my work. Some do and some don’t. One example is my Monkey i put it on my fan page and i ask Chris Martin to please give me his thoughts & he gave me them. Now just need to find the $$ and time to go back to the bush to try them out 🙂 And your updates, feeds, competition. daily blogs give me the inspiration and courage to go out and take photos and try different techniques.

Thanks for the comment Massimo!  You said it!  Ask for comment, engage in conversation and keep in shooting! Great way to learn!  Look forward to getting out in the field with you again!

    Great topic Gerry!

Is there ever 1 best way to learn? Classical theory would suggest you either prefer visual stimulus, kinetic (doing) or aural. I’d assume & suggest that photographer’s who have ‘natural talent’ merely have a strong visual aspect to their learning type.
Visual – Behind the frame, online critique, looking at images.
Doing – Get out and there and shoot, attend workshops
Aural – Watch videos and attend workshops, maybe reading comments on internet counts? Talk to other photographers!

Either way, the best way to learn is to do it all but only a few ways can be done online!
