Dubbed as one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, South Luangwa has a huge concentration of game around the Luangwa River and its ox bowed lagoons. The area is extremely rich in wildlife with a vast volume of prey species including Hippo, Elephant, Puku, Impala, Zebra, Kudu, Giraffe, Waterbuck etc. which attracts many predators, forming part of one of our main focus points on this safari.
The Luangwa valley is also home to some 400 bird species, one of them on which we will pay extra attention, the Carmine Bee Eaters, as they come in to nest along the banks of the Luangwa River.
We will also make use of up to 6 different photographic hides and blinds ranging from treetops to riverbanks, from hides on a boat to grass hides at different water-holes, this will make sure of a variety of photographic opportunities and experiences.
Limited to 8 guests accompanied by two Wild Eye hosts this safari guarantees exclusivity and variety.
