Description

A special place exists at the foothills of the great Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks are as synonymous with Africa as any other destination ever visited, and plays host to Wild Eye’s highly sought-after Exclusive Amboseli and Tsavo Safari experience.

Loved by Ernest Hemingway and wildlife photographers from all across the globe, the fragile ecosystem of the Amboseli National Park hosts an incredible spectacle of wildlife and African landscapes and is where the first 5 nights of the safari will be spent. Amboseli will allow us the time to photograph the massive herds of elephants as they make their daily trek into the swamps to feed. What makes this even more special is that fact that Mount Kilimanjaro forms the background for a significant amount of scenes, allowing you to capture the iconic images you’ve always dreamt of.

Having our own vehicle and local guide means we do not have to stick to lodge game drives times and can spend our time in search of sightings in the scenic Amboseli National Park between sunrise and sunset. All meals, apart from a few picnic lunches or packed breakfasts, will be enjoyed at the  Serena Lodge which will be our home base for the duration of our time in Amboseli.

From Amboseli we move further East to Tsavo National Park. Here we will explore and capture the rugged landscapes of one of the oldest and largest National Parks in Kenya. Two key attractions will be to visit the Mzima Springs (a series of four natural springs which find their source in a natural reservoir under the Chyulu Hills to the north), and also to do a day trip into Tsavo East National Park.

With just 3 guests and one photographic guide, this safari is the best way to experience these two iconic destinations in Kenya.

  • I have just spent 10 days with Wild-Eye on a photographic safari to Amboseli and Tsavo West National Parks in Kenya. These are two unique game parks which provide wonderful photographic opportunities. Andrew Beck was our host . He has first class technical knowledge and wonderful photographic awareness, continually suggesting exposure settings and different ways to compose and shoot wildlife scenes. We spent long periods driving around the game parks in Wild-Eye's 4x4 Land Cruiser which was very comfortable with large side windows and an open top from which to shoot. The accommodation was ideal located being in the respective parks giving us quick access to photographic opportunities. Andrew always put his guests first and being a small group we got individual attention. All our arrangements were taken care of without a hitch. I will definitely being doing another photographic safari with Wild-Eye, it was a great experience and I return with new ways to photograph wildlife.
