Explore the Chobe River like never before. A homely houseboat is your base for the safari and utilizing a specialized photographic boat during the chobe photo safari, close encounters with animals coming for a drink along the river’s shore is almost guaranteed.
The Chobe River supports an immense eco-system in the form of the Chobe National Park. The park boasts a massive array of wildlife and is home to the largest elephant population in Africa, well over 100 000. A cruise along the park’s banks can on a good day yield hundreds of elephants coming down for a drink during the warm afternoons.
There’s also a myriad of animals to be seen along the shore’s always presenting stunning photographic opportunities. Herds of impala & kudu, the lone buffalo bulls, lechwe, waterbuck, warthog, baboon and even a lucky sighting of a leopard or a lion pride. Anything is possible on the Chobe.
This is also a birding haven and our Chobe Photo Safari will present you with some of the very best waterbird photographic opportunities in Africa.
