Wild, remote, tough to get to and authentic in every way, Hwange offers its visitor an opportunity to see a real & raw Africa – it is unlike any other wildlife destination you’ll ever visit and the Wild Eye Hwange Photo Safari offers the perfect opportunity to do so.

In Hwange wildlife still roam free, not prohibited by fences or any other man-made boundaries. It’s home to one of the densest elephants populations in Africa, and contain some of Africa’s largest free-ranging African wild dog packs. The size of the park makes Hwange the ideal home for these 2 wide-ranging species, and to see them within this stunning natural environment is surreal.

Many other animals call this pride of Zimbabwe their home, including 2 rarely seen antelope species – Roan & Sable.
During the dry season wildlife are reluctantly drawn to many of the park’s year-round water-filled waterholes. I say reluctantly, because predators use the waterholes as daily ambush sites during the driest time of the year – the exact time of year we host our Hwange Photo Safari.

Somalisa will be our host for the duration of our stay in Hwange. Its location is ideal for many of the parks’ wildlife including elephant, lion, leopard, cheetah, sable, roan and more. Attracted to camp by a permanent waterhole, they often visit daily as the thirst for water draws them in. Predators also frequent this waterhole and can often be seen in the late afternoon or early evenings coming down for a drink.

No matter which way you look at it, if you have not been to Hwange before you are undoubtedly missing out on an African experience of a lifetime. The adventure & excitement that awaits you is like nothing else in Africa.

For those who have been before, it goes without saying that this Wild Eye Hwange Photo Safari is the ideal opportunity for another visit.
