Kruger National Park speaks for itself, a destination filled with so many incredible action-packed sightings, a variety of habitats and a vast array of wildlife from ranging from big to small, furry & feathered. Many have visited in the past but our Kruger Photo Safari will open up a side of the park you’ve never encountered before.

Most of the park is accessible to the general public. There are no doubt fantastic safari areas within the public sections of the park but few can stand up to the South-Eastern corner that Wild Eye discovered, a little slice of heaven.
Tucked away at the foothills of the Lebombo Mountains lies Camp Shawu. The camp captures the character of the real Africa with authentic buffalo dung walls, and is hugged on the eastern end by a very productive dam known as Mpanamana Dam. Every day elephants & buffalo drink from the camp’s waterhole, and since the rooms are right on the water’s edge the experience never stops.

Safaris within the Camp Shawu game viewing area can produce many fantastic sightings. A large resident pride of lions numbering over 30 call the area home, and leopards frequent the safari area between camp & the Crocodile River. The River itself draws plenty wildlife in search of water. Impala, warthog, wildebeest & Cape Buffalo are never far from the water, and elephants love spending time in the river itself, especially on the hot summer days.

The camp is only 5 hours from Johannesburg so getting there is simple & easy. Drive with Wild Eye, your own vehicle or catch a flight to Nelspruit.

Wild Eye’s Kruger Photo Safari will leave you with a fantastic experience of Kruger, be it your first visit or your 50th. There’s something here for all to discover and we plans on opening up this stunning paradise for all our Kruger Photo Safari guests, breathing new life into a well visited safari destination.
