Description

Tucked away in the western half of South Africa & completely free of malaria lies Madikwe. It forms a part of the Greater Kalahari system and as a result is far drier than many other destinations. With red sands and golden sunsets Madikwe is the perfect safari destination for a South African safari experience. During this Madikwe photo safari we will take exclusive use of a 5 star lodge in Madikwe giving us complete photographic freedom and the ability to maximise our time in the field.

The Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and lunch at Nkurru Private Game Lodge will be followed by a relaxed afternoon game drive which will officially kick off our Madikwe photo safari, after which dinner will be served at the lodge.

Day 2 to 6: Each day starts off with coffee and rusks which will be served, a quick discussion regarding the day’s shot list goals and activities will also take place. We will then head out on the game vehicle for our first early morning game drive. We are not restricted by any lodge schedules and have complete flexibility in terms of the duration and focus of our game drives.

Breakfast and lunch will be served upon our return followed by ad-hoc Lightroom sessions and presentations on any questions and techniques the group may want to explore in more detail. We will then head out on our second game drive of the day before dinner.

Dinner will be held around an open fire overlooking the waterhole, after which we will run through a constructive critique session of each guests five prepped images before turning in for the night.

Day 7: We will start the day off with an optional early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Departure at 11am.
