The rich diversity of vegetation ensures a wide range of game and the topography offers ideal game viewing opportunities for wilderness safaris.

Our Favourite Photographic Destinations in Madikwe Game Reserve

The Bush House

Situated in the Malaria free region of Madikwe Game Reserve, the photographic feature at The Bush House is their underground which is situated at the edge of the lodge waterhole. The roof which is just above ground level is reinforced and can carry the weight of any elephant that might wander across the top.The Hide is accessed from a path within the Lodge garden, or from the swimming pool, so guests can safely move along the walkway and into the tunnel without being seen by the animals and in complete safety.

The pathways, tunnel and hide are all lit at night so are available for use by guests 24 hours a day. Viewing of all the visiting animals and birds close up is truly spectacular and offers a whole new dimension in game viewing and wildlife photography. The low angles created by the sunken hide combined with possibly extreme close ups make for incredible photographic opportunities.
