Another great response to our second ‘Let’s All Process the Same RAW File‘ challenge. Thank you!
Monochrome and how to convert your images is something that pops up regularly on safaris and workshops and by looking at all the results you guys sent in this week you can see why.
The options when converting your images to monochrome is not governed by the same rules as when we try to create natural looking images but makes for it’s own challenges. Leading the viewers eye, good tonal contrast and content becomes exceedingly important but the nice thing is that there is no right or wrong. It is up to YOU as the photographer to process your vision.
In the below video I have a look at and chat through all the images that I received, share some thoughts on processing in general and then do a live process of the leopard RAW file.
It has been great fun doing these videos with you guys and will definitely pick up on it when I get back from a few back to back safaris and workshops. Make sure to check out my Instagram feed for live updates from the field and behind the scenes action from our Great Migration Mara camp.
Please do stay in touch on the blog and social media channels and we can then look at our next RAW challenge soon.
Until next time,
