It really isn’t that hard to find a pleasing photograph to capture in Mana Pools in Zimbabwe.

Here, I’ll show you:

Step 1:

Have a camera with decent quality lens.

Step 2:

Get to Mana Pools (it’s remote!) – we can take you there.

Step 3:

Find an elephant – lots of them around the floodplains in the dry months.

Step 4:

Maneuver so you have a pleasing arrangement of trees – it’s quite easy as you are on foot most of the time.

Step 5:

Double check settings for a sharp photo – CLICK

I captured this one on the first morning of the photo safari I just hosted to Mana Pools.

Techs:

Nikon Df

Nikkor 80-400mm VR-II @ 400mm

f7.1  |  1/1000 SS  |  ISO-800
