Wild Eye Ambassador Andrew Aveley has just returned from the Timbavati where he hosted a dedicated Wild Eye photographic safari.
With little or no connectivity during the trip Andrew was unfortunately not able to do live updates but he will be sharing all the action and stories from this photo safari in the next few weeks when we will post his full trip report.
So until we post the full trip report with a few of the guest’s images, here are a few of Andrew’s teaser images and highlights from the safari.[list type=”bullet”]
- Awesome group of creative and inspiring photographers with great sense of adventure and humor.
- Great weather. Warm and dry with great light.
- Group focused on general wildlife photography, creative spotlight photography and action shots of birds in flight
- Some interesting events included a ‘grumpy ellie’ in between the bar and guest rooms.

As mentioned, the full trip report will be posted in the next few weeks so make sure to keep an eye on the blog for more updates and images from this safari.
I have also said that, and I know this sentiment is echoed by all the Wild Eye Ambassadors, the best way to learn and improve your photography is to spend time in the field with like-minded people. There is no place for egos, showing off or trying to be better than the next guy.
It’s about sharing time out in nature.
It’s about sharing a passion.
It’s about sharing photography!
Thanks to all the people who joined Andrew on this Wild Eye photo safari. We look forward to sharing more photographic adventures with you in future!
Until next time.
